During the week the students will be working with the alphabet letters and zoo animals. We will be playing role playing games in the classroom, as well as letters games. We will begin with the letters a, b and c.

Homework: Practice naming zoo animals for the evaluation on Thursday.

*I already introduced to the students the letters of the alphabet. We have covered A and B. This week I will introduce C. Feel free to study them at home.
If you have internet access at home I suggest using this websites to practice the alphabet with your child.

*Homework: Practice naming the animals at home. We are working with: camel, penguin, alligator, snake, hippo, tiger, lion, giraffe, elephant, monkey and parrot.

For Thursday: Bring extra snacks and juice. We will have a get together in the playground as friends while celebrating Valentine’s Day. Students can bring towels to put on the ground and sit on them.

For Friday: The students will participate in a MAKE BELIEVE Zoo Expedition at their playground. They can come to school dressed as explorers. USE your imagination parents it is NOT a Casual Day but don’t go spending money please. Hats, binoculars, shades, hats, shorts, jeans, t-shirts, etc. are acceptable.
***Parents if you at home have stuffed animals from the zoo, or plastic I am more than welcome welcoming at the classroom for Friday’s decoration. They will be given back!                     Thank You!

During the week the students will be learning about Valentine’s Day celebration. They will participate in classroom activities and arts and crafts projects.
They will need crayons, scissors, glue and construction paper. Most of them have them in their classroom (box of materials). Make sure your child is well stocked (with materials).

Parents:

Since the students only have two days of class this week I will not make a weekly for them.


PK-Kinder:

We will continue working with Zoo Animals, games, play-doh activity, Giraffe pupet show, etc.



Sixth Grade:

Monday-Exam Review/Debate

Tuesday- Exam




Wednesday:
*All students will be participating in various activities to celebrate their day...Student's Day! 11:30am dismissal, lunch and extended hour service will be provided.
