SIXTH GRADE - HOMEWORK

FOR NEXT DECEMBER 4, 2012 (TUESDAY)

Each student picked a movie to work with for this homework. They can't change the movie.

The students will hand in a sheet of paper with the following:

1- Title of the Movie
2- Characters
3-Setting
4-Plot (conflict, rising action, climax, resolution)
5- Theme
6- Imagine you are a movie critic and you have to write a short movie review about the movie that you picked. What would you write?   (you can use page 196-197 of the Reading Book)
7- From one to five,one being the lowest score and  five being the highest score, How many stars would you give your movie? Why?


Title 2 pts.
Characters: 3 pts.
Setting: 2 pts.
Plot: 8 pts.
Theme: 2 pts.
Question #6: 10 pts
Question #7: 3 pts.

K-1 weekly


K-1 Conversational English Weekly
WEEK: NOVEMBER 26-30, 2012

During the week the students will be learning about different types of transportation that can be used. (Cars, buses, airplanes, trains, bicycles, boats, helicopters and motorcycles.)

 I will be integrating many pictures for them to see and use to differentiate.

No homework for the week!

*Next week will be Christmas week. It will be my last days with the students before they leave for their Christmas vacations. I will be working with the students on many Christmas activities.

December 6, 2012 – Show and Tell:  I LOVE CHRISTMAS BECAUSE…
THE STUDENTS CAN COME DRESSED IN CHRISTMAS OUTFITS OR COSTUMES. IT IS NOT A CASUAL DAY…STUDENTS CAN COME DRESSED ONLY IN CHRISTMAS COLORS (RED AND GREEN) OR SPECIAL COSTUMES, HATS, ETC.

The students can stay all day in their pajamas. Feel free to bring sleeping bags and pillows.
