6th Grade Exam Review
Verbs Exam II Tuesday February 5, 2013
The exam has three parts.
Part I. Write the helping verbs for Present Participle and Past Participle and when to use them.
Part II. Write the given Irregular and Troublesome Verbs in Present Participle, Past and Past Participle. (The students have a sheet that they answered and use to study. It was given on January 31, 2013. You can also use the worksheet that is in their notebook (Regular and Irregular Verbs) and pages 192 and 214.
Part III. Identify the direct object in the sentence.
Don't leave studying foe the last minute!!!
The students know that Irregular verbs do not follow rules...MEMORIZE.

-Action verbs: mention some and write sentences with them.
-Linking verbs: Identify linking verbs in the sentence and the predicate nominative (word that describes)
-Subject Verb Agreement: write the correct form of the given verb in parentheses to complete the sentence.
-Past, Present, Future Tense: Write the verb in parentheses in the correct tense. (Fill in the blank)

Choose one FARM ANIMAL. Tell your classmates and teacher one fact (important detail or information) about the farm animal you picked. The student should bring a paper with a picture of the animal and the short sentence that she or he will say written by the student in the paper. WRITE YOUR NAME! The student can come to school dressed as a farmer.
(**Parents and students: use your imagination!! Don't go buying costumes please, I like to do this dress ups so the students can feel special.)
