First Grade Exam Review
The students must study the following:
1- Identify the beginning sound of a word. The students will have a picture and they will write the beginning letter. The teacher will help them by saying what each picture is. The letters to be studied are: Cc, Pp, Nn, Ff, Bb, Gg, and Ii.
2- Fill in the blank with the correct letter. The teacher will read the word and the students will write the missing letter to complete the word. The letters to be studied are: Cc, Pp, Nn, Ff, Bb, Gg, and Ii.
3- Fill in the blank with the correct high frequency word: we, like, the, one, I, see, a, green
4- Spelling: (Dictation): The students will write the following words: cat, map, fan, bag, pin, bin, if, bat, cab, tip
Exam: October 1, 2013

1- Spelling Words (Long Vowel Sound) (Dictation)
2- High Frequency Words: (Fill in the Blank)
Set 1: bear, love, build, father, mother, straight, couldn't
Set 2: live, work, machines, move, everywhere, world, woman
3- Re-read and study details from the story "Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night" pages 88-105 Reading Book. There will be a sequence of events and choose the correct answer ("Escoge") exercise from the story.
4- Identify the subject and the predicate of a sentence.
Exam: September 26, 2013

Parent Teacher Visit September 18, 2013
Parents,
Please sign the sheet of appointments if you want to speak to me on Wednesday. I will follow my appointments in sequence . Please remember to be concise, precise and straight to the point on any doubts or needed information...others will be waiting for their turn too. I will be discussing the student's academic progress, grades and doubts regarding their ENGLISH class progress. Discipline cases or doubts can be handled in private on another separate appointment on another day.Please check Regweb beforehand so you come prepared with questions and needed clarifications. If you cannot come on Wednesday...don't worry. We can meet some other time.
*Reminder: Stdent's simissal will be at 11:30am. There will be NO EXTENDED HOUR CARE SERVICES ON SEPTEMBER 18,2013.
