III.          Author’s Purpose. Mention (write)the three reasons an author writes a story.

VI.                            “Abraham Lincoln”- Sequence of Events. Organize the sentences in order.  (1-5)

VII.    Read each sentence. Choose the correct answer that completes the sentence. Re-read the story and pay attention to details.

I.                    High Frequency Words. Fill in the blank.

Study the following words: come, my, in, on, she, way, take, up,what

II.                  Write the missing letter or letters to complete the word. Teacher will say the word. Use letters a, i, x and ck.

III.                Write the missing letter or letters to complete the word. Look at the picture and figure out which letter is missing. Use vowels a and i.

IV.                Write sentences correctly. Remember a sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period.

V.                  Write if the given words are nouns, verbs or adjective.

1st-2nd Grade Weekly

* First Grade: The students need to bring the UNIT 1 Reading Book (hardcover) check on the side of the book and make sure it says Unit 1. All others can stay at home. Don't forget!

*Second Grade: Next Tuesday December 10, 2013 the students should bring earphones. They will be working with our brand new tablets. YEAH!

*PK: Teacher will be working with my other groups on their final exams during the following days: December 11, 13 and 16. December 10, 2013 will be their last English Class for the semester.
