K-1 Weekly Week: March 11-15, 2013
During the week the students will
practice naming different types of food that you can find in the supermarket.
We will talk about the importance of food and eating healthy.
**I love using lots of visuals with
the students, it is easy to memorize and identify. I would appreciate if you can
lend me food articles that the children have at home and that they do not use. Real life food articles such as boxes of
cornflakes, oatmeal, milk cartons, juice cartons, cookies, yogurt, etc. Plastic
ones are welcomed too.
Types of Food- fruits, vegetables,
dairy, grains, meat and drinks
Thank You!
** Next Wednesday March 13, 2013 the students will present a show and tell
for the following letters of the alphabet: a, b, c, d, e, f
Each student will bring pictures with
something that begins with the letter and present it to his or her
classmates. (Construction papers front
and back with pictures and what they will say with each letter)*This is a great
time to look for other words, so they do not use the same ones.
Example:
A is for airplane B is for… C is for … etc
