Friday March
8, 2013 - Oral Evaluation/ Clothing Items.
The students
should mention and identify the following: t-shirt, shirt, pants, socks, shoes,
dress, skirt and pajama. We have discussed in class differences between boys’
and girls’ clothes.
On Thursday
(March 7, 2013) we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Day in honor of this wonderful
author’s birthday. Mrs. Matias is obsessed with his craziness, weird words and
characters. I will read to the students a short story “The Foot Book”, watch a
short video about the story and an arts and crafts class creation.
K-1 Conversational
English Class Mrs. Matias
Week: March 4-8, 2013
During the week the students will be
honoring Dr. Seuss, his birthday and his amazing stories. They will be working with
the following stories:
“Green Eggs and Ham”, “The Foot
Book”, “Dr. Seuss ABC”
Thursday will be the official Dr.
Seuss Day. They will be working with different arts and crafts activities
during the week as we reminiscence on the fabulous characters, vocabulary and
more.
*Special attention to the alphabet
letters especially a, b, c, d, e & f
a, b, c, d, e, f
Each student will bring pictures with
something that begins with the letter and present it to his or her
classmates. (Construction papers front
and back with pictures and what they will say with each letter)*This is a great
time to look for other words, so they do not use the same ones.
Example:
A is for airplane
B is for…
C is for …
D is for…
E is for…
F is for…
